Harry tapped the door with his wand, and it dissolved, it appeared nobody was home. He along with two of his colleagues; Marshall and Walters, had a search warrant from the ministry and had come to conduct a routine raid on a premises suspected of illegal activity. He held his wand aloft, the tip lit, and he stepped gingerly over the threshold. Harry motioned for Marshall and Walters to follow closely behind him, keeping alert. His green eyes darted about, looking for any sign of something out of the ordinary, so far it seemed like a typical suburban home.
Marshall led the way down into the basement, then stench was horrid; it made Harry's eyes sting and his gut feel woozy. Walters was unable to contain himself and vomited. Using his sleeve as a barrier between his nose and the smell, Harry pressed forward. Hanging from chains on the ceiling were human arms and legs, all in varying states of decay. The light of his wand found illegal items, but so far, no sign of Death Eaters. "Nasty bunch, eh?" Marshall coughed, prodding around, uncovering a shriveled object, "what do you suppose this is?" If Harry could have stopped his colleague from touching it, he would have- but it was too late. A sudden blast erupted through the basement, Harry found himself thrown into a wall, smacking his head forcefully. Stars popped before his eyes, and all he knew was darkness...

Toby had been on his way to visit Perri in the driveway at her house when the explosion happened. Forgetting entirely about his girlfriend, he sprinted across the street to the house where he had heard the noise. Looking around, everything seemed intact, although a couple things had been knocked over from the force. He bolted down the stairs, a horrid smell meeting his nose, like decomposing something and burnt hair. "Hello?" Toby called out loudly, "anybody in here?" There was too much rubble and dust in the air for him to see.
He began sifting through it, after a few minutes he found two men, both dead. Biting his lip, Toby pushed aside more debris until he found a third form, another man. He was still breathing! He hurriedly turned him over and was shocked to be gazing upon the face of his uncle. Toby did what made the most sense, he picked up Harry and carried him across his muscular shoulders out of the wreckage and into fresh air, coughing the whole way up. He laid Harry down in the grass, biting his lip, unsure of what to do.

Harry began to stir as he felt frost-coated grass through his robes. He had barely opened his eyes when his head began to sear with pain, he could barely move until he recalled Walters and Marshall- they were still in there. Harry hurriedly sat up, instantly becoming dizzy and the pain in his head intensifying. "Marshall," Harry said, "Walters, I've got to get them out of there," without even acknowledging the presence of his nephew, he tried to stand, but found that his legs felt like they were made of marshmallow, and did not want to support him.

"Just lie down," said Toby, forcing his uncle gently back onto the grass. Whatever happened it must have been magical, the house was still entirely intact, only its contents were cluttered. Toby could not bring himself to tell Harry that the other two men had been killed, not just yet anyways. He should probably be taken to the hospital, just to be sure nothing was terribly wrong, Toby was not a Healer.

Harry could not have struggled against the strength of his nephew even if he wanted to; the pain in his head was too great. "I've got to get them out of there, I can't leave them behind," Harry insisted, each word taking a tremendous amount of effort to get out of his mouth. His vision from behind his broken glasses faded and sharpened, it was taking a lot of his energy to stay awake. But it wass his responsibility as an Auror to never leave behind a comrade.

Toby bit his lip, he just couldn't bring himself to say the truth; but there was no way in heaven or hell that he was going to lie to his uncle's face. "Let me take you to St. Mungo's, and I'll come straight back for them," said Toby, that was all the compromise that he was willing to make. Without waiting for a response, Toby slipped Harry's arm around his shoulders, helped him to stand, and disapparated to the waiting room of St. Mungo's, looking around for the lime green robes of a healer.

Raychel had been in the waiting room, leaning casually against the reception desk with her eyes closed when the screams started. The stench of charred flesh and blood met her nose and her eyes instinctively flew open. She scanned the room to find two semi-familiar faces. One was the worried Tobias Weasley. He was kneeling next to none other than injured Auror Harry Potter. Raychel immediately shoved her way through the crowd. "What happened?" Raychel demanded, rolling the sleeves of her new healer robes up.

"Some sort of explosion," said Toby, the whole weight of his uncle resting upon him not bothering him any. He was still a physically strong, young man. The daily workouts for Quidditch kept him in peak condition as well. "I came across the scene after it happened." He then dropped his voice so Harry would not be able to hear him. "There are two casualties, I'll have to retrieve them."

From Toby's tone, she could tell that Harry had no knowledge of his fallen comrades. Raychel nodded solemnly, in full nurse mode. "I'll take him and start the procedures. You may join me or you can go to the site," she replied with a half smile, encouraging Toby that his uncle would be fine in her hands. With one quick motion, Raychel had the larger man up in her arms as if he weighed nothing more than a feather. With one last glance at Toby, she hurried down the hallways of the hospital, calling several healers to follow her.

Harry was half-passed out, but he could have sworn that the healer carrying him was a lot smaller than him. He tried not to think too much on it, it made his already throbbing head hurt worse. His last thought before his mind went entirely blank was of Ginny, she was going to fret like crazy over him. After that, Harry allowed himself to become entirely unaware of what was going on around him- not even noise registered in his brain.

Toby nodded once, but Raychel and her entourage of healers had already gone. He had decided to go and retrieve the corpses, as he had made a promise to Harry that he would go back for them. In a split second he found himself back at the scene, which surprisingly was not crawling with ministry officials. Toby found the bodies, tried not to cringe as he grabbed them, and disapparated back to St. Mungo's, as if instructed, a team of five healers was waiting for him. Four of them whisked away the bodies, while the fifth escorted him to the tea room, had him sit down, and gave him a cup of tea. Toby sat, sipping it quietly, not making eye contact with anyone in the room.

Raychel hurried along the corridors. She reached the operating room and placed Harry with surprised gentleness on the bed. She went to work immediately. Several healers helped, but most just stood back and watched in awe at their fellow employee's efficiency. Raychel's eyes were glued on the burns, her hands moving too fast to be human. Many of her colleagues were aware of her vampire status, but those in the room with her then would know. She didn't care.

"Harry." The voice sounded as if it was from afar, it echoed within the confines of his brain. Harry slowly stirred to consciousness, a sort of giddy numbness all over his body. They must have fixed me up, he thought, feeling almost bemused. There could be some odd side-effects with healing... He opened his eyes and found his vision was blurred, someone must have removed his glasses. A pair of soft lips touched against his own briefly. "Oh, you're awake!" said the same voice. Ginny. Harry's hand struggled to find hers, but when it did, she grasped it tightly, bringing his hand to her mouth so she could kiss his fingers.

Raychel leaned against the door frame of Harry's private room. She had given one to him, figuring it would be better, considering his fame. No need for crowds of people by his bed. Raychel watched, her charmed eyes soft, but calculating. Ginny turned to her and opened her mouth to say something, no doubt thanking her. Raychel just smiled and bowed her head in silence. Ginny considered this for a moment, then turned back to dote on Harry some more.

Harry could only see fuzzy outlines of things, where on earth were his glasses? He wanted to be able to see his wife more clearly, instead of some flesh-coloured blob looming over him with some violently red framing that was her hair. As if reading his mind, Ginny gently paced his glasses on, and his vision came into focus. "I didn't worry you too much, did I?" Harry asked his wife gently, smiling. Ginny squeezed his hand. "You always worry me, dear," she responded.
